Miles says this "is a team that plays for chamnpionships every year" so I say if he's not, then fire him. I believe that he will make the necessary corrections on the offensive side of the ball that he made on the D last year and we will once again be competing for the west and SEC championship.

I do know this, there will be no more "we have a young quarterback" excuses or "we now know how to tell time" excuses.

Lord I hope he does better than this. Chavis is good, but we still need vast defensive improvement. We need to turn "3rd and Chavis" into a bad thing for the opposing offense

Why isn't it? In 20 years, who is going to care how the team looked in 2009?

It isnt about how the team looks either. See the list below

These are needed for the team to be acceptable

-the team being prepared for each and every game

-the coaches making solid halftime adjustments. ie. staying with a hot hand, not continuing schemes that arent working

-the coaches utilizing our talent to the fullest.

-turning "third and chavis" into a bad thing for the opposing offense.

-no delay of game penalties after a time out

-cut procedure penalties in half

-have an offense that produces to the level of its talent.

Next year will be the highest level of competition the SEC West has ever seen. And again, whoever wins the SEC will have a spot in the BCS National Championship game.

9 plus wins is the minimum

but as much or more than the record I want to see the team improve notably as the year goes on

Best guess is the west is probably between bama and lsu but arkansas and auburn will be serious players

I'm guessing the east is going to be up for grabs a bit... florida (even with all they lose) or uga is the easy pick seeing as ut loses too much and usc/ky are just hard to see as favorites

IMO -- it's more "theorethical" than W's and L's

depends on what happens to cause the W's and L's.

Our schedule is tougher - it appears.

Here's why I think so:

OOC - UNC, WVA, then who - McNeese & So Miss

I have no reason to think we should lose any of these games - 4-0 in OOC.

SEC

Vandy- road game but should win
MSU - much improved but at home
UT - depends on their QB situation, but D is going to be solid with pappa still in charge
UF - never easy to win in the Swamp - but we have
AU - much improved and we are on the road
AL - don't see a big slide in Bama -- tough game
OM - always play us tough, but I see us winning
AR - Little Rock has been tough on us... Mallet is the real deal -- tough game.

So, I say if we play tough EVERY game and come out even with 8-4 he's safe.

If we look unprepared and suck in a couple games - 10 - 2 may not be comfortable.

I predict 9-3 for the regular season.

Losses to: MSU, Auburn and either UT or ARK.

Why do I think we lose to MSU -- just because we have NOT lost to them in forever and it's bound to turn around at some point IMHO.

Now when the season starts - I'll have the WANT for us to finish First every week!!!! and think we'll have a shot at doing so.

Playing in the SECCG and a BCS - possibly even the BCSNCG is within reach -- but it's not going to be an easy road, again ... IMHO.

What exactly is your definition of "absolutely dominate" and "tenure"? Except for when he's had young, inexperienced QB's, Les Miles's Tiger teams have waxed the cupcakes.

If you don't like the guy, say it. But don't make shite up to justify your dislike.

If these criteria are met, I think we're in ATL in December and possibly booking rooms in Arizona for

That has got to be one of the biggest IF'S I have ever seen. He never did it the past two seasons why in the world would he change next season.

Acceptable next year will be players not staying out past midnight and fans being in their seats the entire game.

If players can stay out past midnight, then fans can choose when they leave the game.

Turnover is a part of college football every year. Bama lost there lt and qb from last year and they still went undefeated. I think Miles has to win the west next year or he should be replaced.
