Honestly the shitty thing about this article is for 12K in the hands of a bag man that doesn't text like a 14 year old girl, we could have had Devin White and Leo Lewis as our two starting ILBs.

At this point, who is providing information besides MSU players? Seems fishy

Ole Miss alter?

The state players testimonies only told them where to look. All of the allegations the NCAA has made have come from texts and phone records. Ole Miss was drunk at the wheel, they didn't even try to cover their tracks.

It'll be funny when the IRS says, wait a second, that income wasn't claimed in any tax returns.....

He didn't just take it. He asked for it. Just because he wanted it. And then:

quote:

Lewis told the room that he didn’t respond to the text or return subsequent calls from Allen.

“I just didn’t want to,” Lewis said

Dude gives you 10 grand, and you couldn't even give him a bs line as to changing his mind.

"ITS MAH MONEY NOW, I DONT NEED YOU ANYMORE!"

And then to rat the payers out at the end, for a little self indulgent fame, starting this process by throwing them under the bus. I'm sure he is doing all of this for the attention.

Wouldn't be surprised if half the shite he says are embellishments.

Sheridan showed Lewis a text message, forwarded to Farrar, from Allen to Leo. Allen is panicked because he read on an LSU message board that Lewis was headed to the Tigers, per a former coach of Lewis’.

Wonder which one?

That's the most interesting story line in all this, Leo Lewis was given immunity from the NCAA but he's now being sued in civil court. If he appears before the COI, which he has to do as a condition of his immunity, then that testimony will be used against him in the civil suit. The IRS getting involved would be insanely messy, as lots of money has changed hands over the years in a lot of different forms.

So I'm supposed to feel sorry for the guy bribing a recruit, because the recruit didn't have enough honor to text him back?

Miss State apparently offered 80k

Now, where did he end up playing again?

I guess Miss. State still feels burned for paying 1/4 million for $cam and Auburn getting him.

But as a finder of fact, I would find it dubious for a young man who alleges such desperation for money to take the $80k deal over one worth over half a million.

Highly dubious.

Auburn only paid 250k for Newton. I refuse to believe inflation has risen that much in just 7 years.

"Leo Lewis' mom lies about getting more money from another school to try and leverage more money from Ole Miss"

Total POS. He got one last lick from Ole Miss before signing day. This was calculated extortion on his part. I wish the NCAA would repeal his immunity. To think the kid can behave that way and there be no repercussions isn't just.

As far as I can tell, while his eligibility is protected, Miss State can still get in trouble for the cash payments he admitted to receiving from them. Lewis has immunity, State does not.

Not at all.

It is still an indictment on his character.

You guys are falling for this hook, line, and sinker.I told you months ago that Ole Miss is going to try and bring us into this.Ole Miss paid Leo Lewis and that's the only school the NCAA is after. The rest is coming from Ole Miss trying to make other schools look bad and bring bad press on them and Lewis.Congrats we have some naive folks on here.

The info is from Lewis' testimony, not an editorial from Hotty Toddy Illustrated. You're the naive one.

He didn't have a choice. You seem to be under the impression that Lewis approached the NCAA. He didn't. Lewis taking money from Ole Miss was the worst kept secret in MS that signing day. The NCAA was already looking into rebel rags, funky's, and several other boosters due to the other 15 or so level I violations. They had the assistants texts who was told by a booster "I feel like I just wasted 10K" in regards to Lewis. They told Lewis to either spill his guts or they would find him ineligible. What was he supposed to do?

Not by any means lol, read my post history, huge LSU fanatic.
Just from what I've been seeing lately, their investigation is relying on evidence from msu players. They know where to look, but what are they coming up with so far? Seriously, I'm curious if you have any more info.
