re: What if Anthony Jennings shows up next season and plays like a boss?

Very few of Miles decisions have worked out in recent years. You'd understand that if you'd take Miles nuts out of your mouth long enough to be objective.
2011 1 loss
2012 3 losses
2013 3 losses
2014 5 losses
one mediocre year....haters have a very selective memory. seems like our fans never ever happy about anything unless they win every game by 50 points

That must be why Les started a true freshman in the second SEC game of the season in 2014.

That one loss in 2011 seems so innocuous doesn't it?

There does appear to be a pattern there though wouldn't you agree? 1-3-3-5....Definitely not trending in the right direction.
Not to mention the fact that we were one play away from losing 4 straight bowl games in those years.
You may see 5 losses as the only mediocre year, but a bowl loss always puts a damper on the season...just my opinion.

Our running game should be such that either QB should be able to play well.
We will not lose more than one game this fall, we WILL throw the ball better simply due to more experience, and our talent and depth will keep us in every game.

This would be awesome! I hope your right. A one-loss SEC team would most certainly have a great shot at the play-off.

If we lose 5+ games next year, Miles will be replaced and I will never post again.
Nice little consolation prize for you

there is no pattern when we CANT see the future. my gawd, we could go undefeated this year and u guys will find something negative to complain about.

In hindsight, it was a terrible decision...
If only Miles had the benefit of hindsight in October... they were searching for a guy to run Cam's offense, Jennings wasn't able. Tried Harris. Harris wasnt able.
So they stopped trying to run Cam's offense and put in the guy who could best do what they asked him to do.
Now Cam is retooling his offense.

Sweet jesus, I hope. I generally liked what we did against A&M and ND.

agree
unfortunately aTm's defense is dog shite, so I try not to let that game get my hopes up.

Well yeah, but that was the type of scheme I think will work for us in the long run. Spread things out a bit and use more misdirection while still sticking to ground-and-pound.

I am waiting for this board's reaction when they televise the spring game and we don't see a single play like this.

Posted on 4/15/15 at 2:19 pm to chilge1
Overreacting to the Spring Game is an LSU tradition that predates Huey Long.

First of all, your self-imposed banishment is not necessary.
Secondly, contrary to popular belief, I wouldn't take any personal pleasure in the man's demise. If he can produce a play-off contending team this year, he will have the support of a majority of the fan base moving forward.
If you're loking at his accomplishments from a purely "what have you done for me lately?" aspect, you can see why some fans are upset. We haven't done schit lately on the national scene. Time to change that, starting this year.

You are full of shite!

You said you were happy he was starting at Auburn. You didn't say shite about thinking he should start the second. Man up, troll!

What an idiot comment. You didn't want him to start at Auburn after he had had lots of playing time under his belt, but you wanted him to start the first game of the year with ZERO playing time? That's some dumb shite even for you, but we all know you are only trying to cover your arse.
Man up, troll, or run home.

Sure, but if you're looking at his accomplishments from a "what are you working with?" aspect, it makes sense.
We could have done better in 2012. Were it not for a late game Chavis collapse we would have followed up 2011 nicely... that, and losing to a Will Muschamp-coached Florida, which nobody can believe actually happened.
quote:
"I think our football team is sick, sick with knowledge that they could have played better," LSU coach Les Miles said.
But then you look at the EARLY losses on defense in the 2012 draft and the production on that side in 2013, and it makes sense.
Then you look at the EARLY losses on offense (and DT) in the 2013 draft and the production in those areas in 2014, and it makes sense.
We sunshine pumpers are ecstatic because the only players lost were our #3 CB, Hunter, and Kwon. The maturation at EVERY position will be improved from 2014.
Ergo

Of course. I want to win and play like a contender. I don't care who is at the helm when this is happening.

What??? Do you bother to read ANYTHING you post?
You must have been a great disappointment to your mama...but that's a separate issue.

YES! I was glad he started at Auburn at the time. I was glad he was getting ANY start. That game is not where I would have started him but Les pulled the trigger.
YES I wanted him to start the first game because I thought he was a better QB with more raw talent than AJ...and still do.

I'm losing brain cells even responding to you.
He did not have "lots of playing time" going into Auburn. He a few spot relief appearances. Certainly not enough to establish any kind of rhythm with the offense in real game situation.
Yes, I do believe he could have had some success...at home....against non-conference teams. What??? You DON'T think he could have beaten SHSU or NMSU at home? Maybe not UW in Houston but the others?? Come on.
