This has to be the dumbest question every posted on here. Devin White is getting double teamed and tripled team. Therefore other guys are having to step up and be play makers. Do you even watch the games?

Tackles are nit always a measure of success.

White has been off & on. He didn’t play well yesterday

I didn’t say he sucked , he’s still very good, but he’s whiffing on TFLs which are crucial in a big game against a team like Bama. He’s over pursuing.

He is our Tua. Opposing teams build their attack based on neutralizing him. He's tying up 2 or 3 players, which allows others, ie Delpit, to make the big plays.

It's ok, we are a team and he wins as long as the team wins. NFL scouts watch film, they know what is happening.

Calm down

The end result is blatantly clear on film - he's had a huge dropoff in performance

Holy shite!!!

I know you probably think you are some great student of the game and probably replay games on TV so you can “grade the film”. You probably think you know as much or more than the real coaches.

But holy frick you are stupid. Devin White has had no drop off at all. He’s still on of, in not the best LB in the country and some have him projected as a top 5 draft pick.

His tackle numbers may be down a bit but that is largely because other players have improved and he’s not forced to do as much.

But really, that comment I quoted shows just how ignorant you are. And you should probably quit posting before you embarrass yourself any further

Our tackling as a team has just been bad.

Hm, it seemed like it was long over as other players were off celebrating the INT and the WR was just kinda standing there. Wasnt sure if there was some pre-existing thing that had gone on with that WR

Damn! Even with the offense keying in on him. He's still 2nd in the conference in tackles

Great post. Total tackles are a hugely overrated stat. Not a great measurung stick. For instance if a cb has 10 tackles its likely because hes giving up completions left and right.

White is excellent and deserves all the credit he gets but he has missed a ton of tackles he should make, particularly behind the line.

I've got you set up with Coach Aranda for "Tell the Truth" Monday. Let him know how poorly Devin is playing. Please give him the game plan for getting around offenses that Key on him!

Damn, that means instead of 13 tackles he would've had 20 ????

Tackles really are a misleading stat

Let's just go with a hypothetical. It's 3rd and 2 and you shoot the gap and miss the tackle. The drive is extended and you made 3 tackles the remainder of the drive. The only reason you made those 3 tackles is because the drive extended. So now you have 2 more tackles than you would have had if you would have not missed the first tackle.

Do you even watch the game? Teams are clearly gameplanning against him directly and committing multiple blockers on him or calling plays to take him out of it.
