Marshall back for Bama is an absolute best case scenario. Don’t think that’s gonna happen. Ed said they are hoping but not sure if that’s realistic.

Orgeron said the exact opposite. He said that he fully expects Marshall to be back playing this year. Bama was given as the game when that’s supposed to happen. Why do people keep doomsdaying this injury?

When did he say he fully expects him to be back? This morning, he said he hopes to have him back.

LSU coach Ed Orgeron hopes wide receiver Terrace Marshall will return by the Tigers' game against Alabama on Nov. 9.
"That would be really good to get him back for that game," Orgeron said on a teleconference Wednesday morning, "but I don't know if we can yet."

WR Terrace Marshall Jr. suffered a foot fracture against Vanderbilt. Marshall has already tweeted that his surgery went well. The sophomore is expected to be out a few weeks with a possible return toward the latter part of the season. On Wednesday, Orgeron was asked if the team was considering redshirting Marshall with the projected lengthy absence. “No, I expect him to come back,” Orgeron said. “If he can’t play, then we will… Players like him are three and out anyway, he could be a first-round pick…” Orgeron added that he expected Marshall back “sooner than people think,” which prompted the question of when the wide receiver might return. “Hopefully for the Alabama game but I don’t know if we can (get him back for that one),” Orgeron said.
