the Vanderbilt game was a good game and Vandy was not a bad team at that time with DiNardo as their coach.

Vandy was a horrible team that year, which was 1990. They finished 1-10 and had been blown out by Tulane a week or so earlier.

DiNardo was not their coach. Watson Brown was their coach.

Curley Hallman was not LSU's coach. Mike Archer was LSU's coach.

The only meeting with Vandy during Hallman's tenure was a 16-14 win in 1991 when Ricardo Washington forced a Vandy fumble at the goal line in the final minute to preserve our narrow lead. DiNardo was Vandy's coach in that game.

But you were right about this in the 1990 loss...

It was a B. S. offensive interference call that did us in at the end of the game.

Still, even if the bad call hadn't been made, the call was on a miracle hail Mary attempt for a win that we would not have deserved.

I knew Hallman was going to be bad after his first game at Texas A&M in 1991.

That was Hallman's first game at Texas A&M, but it was not his first game. His first game was an ugly 31-10 loss at Georgia to open the '91 season.

I remember LSU coming out of the locker room with those awful black socks. And they played just as awful. The ONLY reason Curley was hired was because he had a knack for beating BAMA. Dumbest hire in LSU history.

Well Favre was a good QB but Curly was long gone when He got good. I saw Favre at ULL in 1991.
