And considering LSU never did play USC, why wouldn't he root for USC?

Curley Hallman originally recruited Booty before he went to pro baseball. DiNardo got him after he decided that things were not working out in pro baseball to suit him. DiNardo got canned. One of DiNardo's pains in the arse was apparently his inability to control Booty, who seemed to have thought he was the "coach". They butted heads a bit. Saban inherited him, and finally got tired of some of his shite. The kid called a timeout right before the half of a bowl game, got the asschewing of his life compliments of Lord Saban and left LSU for the pros shortly thereafter. He actually blew a couple of games. He was not willing to adapt his QBing to the demands of the SEC, and really did not do much to help LSU at all. If anything, he was a distraction. Good riddance.

Thought I didn't have to break it down for you and that it was an unspoken given that I was inadvertantly saying I would certainly understand why this was so....
