Go back and not foul when we pulled within 3 last night.

The centerpiece of that class was useless J'Mison Morgan. If that hypothetical class was re-rated now it would be way, way lower.

However, Trent Johnson has been a step down in success after Brady was fired

That may be, but he would also have to finish last in the west 3 more times to match Brady's failures.

You are right on this point Jester (at least for now)... I'm just saying we don't need to fire TJ just yet (especially in the middle of this season). If he finishes 6-10 or worse in the SEC then I'm all for firing him

Everyone knew that we would be about 2-4 right now.

This TA. The first 7 SEC games are brutal. I expected 2-5. I did think we played poorly against Bama and Arkansas and that was disappointing but I think we've played better since.

The back end of the schedule is much more favorable. Let's see how we do then it will be a more educated evaluation of the team and Trent.

It's kinda hard to describe, but they play with an effort and chemistry that 09-10 and 10-11 lacked. It seems like they like playing together and it shows.

I may be in the minority, but I think Trent is doing a decent job. Sure, CTJ has only had one good year, the year after Brady left, but that was with a senior laden team of Brady's recruits. One thing Brady could do well, was recruit, too bad he was awful everywhere else. Since then, CTJ has had to learn how to recruit in this area. And from what I've seen, he's got the program going in the right direction. Sure, we 're not 29-2 and going to the final four, but the teams have gotten better every year, and that's what I want to see. It took Dale Brown 5 years before he finally turned the corner, but LSU was patient with him because he had the program going in the right direction. I think we've got be patient with Coach Johnson as well.

All TJ has to do to keep his job is show up. He will be here next year as well even if we don't win another game in the SEC. IMO I think he is slowly getting the job done. A few to many short players on the court that we have to rely on but they are more fun to watch this year than previous 2 years.

Hoping this is fixed for next season with the addition of Morgan and hopefully Gathers, both are above 6' (Morgan is 6'3, Gathers is 6'6 or so). Morgan will certainly help, but Gathers (as I've said several times) would be such a huge commit if we land him.
