Tells me my purple and gold glasses blind what very little football knowledge I possess.

At the beginning of the season, I thought the D would be solid enough to win games.

A win is always better than the alternative, no matter the score.

However, the current condition of this D is stoking my catastrophe syndrome tendencies...

What does this mean? Cleaning someone’s plow? Is that a saying? I suppose I’d like someone to be nice enough to clean my plow, if it was dirty or had snow on it. Weird.

It tells us every week is different, with its own dynamic. Therefore, knee jerk reactions are usually overblown.

LSU is undefeated by mostly wide margins against very good teams but somehow Clemson will best them lol

Joe Burrow better not get hurt.

Absolutely. I sure held my breath when that creep took a cheap shot at Joe when he was out-of-bounds.

In a Championship Game, with all things being equal, the team with the better offensive AND defensive performance usually wins the game.

If we learned any lesson from the Texas A&M loss last year its that in an OT situation a hiccup by the defense or special team play can cost you a victory. It's unfair to continually expect Joe Burrow to pull a rabbit-out-of the hat. You need a scoring defense to change the tide of a game.

Having said that LSU does NOT have a championship caliber defense.....at least not right now.

You lose all credibility with this statement.

Chaisson has played extremely well this year on the edge versus the run. Extremely well.

The issue with him has been lack of sacks.

He may not have played all last night but then again no one on defense did

They may lose focus when we start destroying a team. Still good enough for 10-0.

Look, when you’re up 3 or 4 scores in the 2nd half and your offense is rolling, the Defense tends to let up.

To a degree, I think it’s human nature.

I also think the defense is missing that killer instinct.

- played a great 1st half against Texas. Poor 2nd half

- poor 1st half against Florida. Gave up 7 in the 2nd half

- solid 1st half against Bama. Gave up 28 in the 2nd half

- had a solid 1st half last night (7), terrible 2nd half

I also think we’re not adjusting well once our opponents find something that works.

We got past the toughest remaining game left on the schedule.

Aranda's D has not lost a game this season.

I work with analytical guys like you and hate it. Never an opinion, just broad observations, never take a stand on anything. Drives me crazy.
