Nuss
Freshmen defensive guys I saw getting quality snaps- McKinley, 33(forgot name), 42 (forgot name) and Woodland.
I thought out RG improved a ton.
Durham will get well
Anderson is coming on as is Plimpton and Green.
Overall D Line play

A new OC

Play calling has been issue at times in terms of predictability.

But in my opinion, after watching a lot of PowerHourLSU (YouTube) film studies, execution has been a bigger issue overall, than play calling.

I expect IF SLOAN STAYS that he will improve form year 1 to year 2 and I expect execution to be better as well.

We need receivers to be tougher in making contested catches, and with exception to Anderson we need crisper route running. Huge issue with receivers this season has been extremely inconsistent run blocking on the perimeter. This needs to improve.

Obviously Nuss needs to see the field better at times and same with reading defenses (I fully expect this to improve dramatically).

And then on defense we need players to trust one another, do their jobs, and stop with the over penetration and getting sucked into the wrong gaps on run plays. Biggest issue I see on the defense is safety play. I don’t know if the younger guys can improve enough in one off season, or if the portal is the answer.. but safety play ABSOLUTELY has to be better. They have seemed lost and very timid at times. We need head hunters at safety with high football IQ and leadership attributes to help with communication.

1) If Nuss comes back, better QB play (experience helps)

2) Better playmaking on offense. I think next year you will see more touches from Anderson, Thomas, and Durham and all three of those are dangerous with the ball in their hands. Couple that with some of the young talent on the team and the ones coming in and we have some legit playmaking talent on that side of the ball. It will depend on QB play.

3) Better DL play. This year we rotated in several true freshmen onto the field. As they get bigger and stronger and more experienced, it will pay off. Breaux, McKinley, and Reliford have all gotten a lot of reps this year. Give Bo a full offseason with these guys plus the 6 DL we have committed to create even more depth and that area of the team looks like it's on the way to becoming dominant again.
