I don't remember any coach winning an argument with an ump. Our problems are the same ones we have had all season, little hitting, poor bunt/hit&run decisions, and terrible base-running...
But tommorrow, we can go to the CWS if we can do any of the things that win games better than SB.

I like CPM. That said, Skip would have come unglued, waddled out to the 2nd base umpire and argued with him IN HIS FACE until the Home Plate Umpire came out to break it up, then he would have argued with HIM all of the way back to home plate, then, after being ejected, he would have stayed on them until they physically escorted him off of the field and out of the stadium.
I've seen that very thing happen several times and it always made the point and fired up the fans and the players, even if he lost the argument. And if our current coach got ejected, maybe they wouldn't run themselves out of as many innings.

Think a couple of umps are pulling for the little guys at SB.
Problem is, the little guys are roided up seniors on a mission to get to Omaha. They don't need any help.

The umps have been calling the game even for both teams. To bad both teams are getting bad calls. The most egregious of them is the strikezone inconsistency. The blocking the of Nola wasn't a big deal since LSU did the same thing a little later on. As far as offense, LSU hit placement was a big WTF?????? This game LSU needs to keep it away from 3rd/SS and Center Field.

It reminds me of the SEC umpires. I don't think they have a bias either way. But they're fricking terrible at their jobs.
The case in football and basketball too. How the best sports conference in the country has far and away the worst officiating continues to baffle me. And even as the conference has gotten stronger, the officiating seems to have gotten worse, if that's even possible. And it extends far beyond the obvious Alabama school bias so evident in football. They are just turrible.

And by win an argument you mean...get the umpire to change his mind? I think every head coach in America is scoreless when it comes to that.
