Our offense has sucked so bad though. Not sustaining drives early is terrible on a defense
I would never give the offense a pass because that has been abysmal, but the defense must get better going forward for LSU to have better showings down the stretch.

All but one was within 37 yards. LSU gave up a load of yards to let them get that close on that many trips down
I've never seen less than 400 yards be considered a "load" before.

LSU got lucky to keep Auburn out of the endzone with several of those along with a lucky break when Auburn didn't score on the goalline.

It becomes infinitely harder to attack a defense inside the 20. LSU's redzone D has been solid all year. They weren't "lucky".

Yeah, it is harder to score with less of the field to defend, but with 5 of six scoring drives, LSU was absolutely lucky that none were converted along with the goal line stand.
388 yards without getting into the endzone with 6 scoring drives is a shite load. And for those that say the defense was on the field the whole game, the time of possession was 32:11 Auburn, 27:49 LSU.
Again, I am not letting the offense off the hook, but for those that say the defense doesn't need plenty of work, it is a falsehood.

RZ defense is not a very good metric. If LSU allows bama or ole miss or aTm 6 trips into the red zone they will be in deep poo.
Keeping a team OUT the redzone is a far better metric and measure of a quality defense.

"Lucky break"? The goal line stand was a thing of beauty.
