No fricking way OU is better than ours, besides I'm tired of hearing their fans trash LSU and the state of Louisiana and how much better they think they are over us. If you guys only lived here and had to listen to that shite but never mind the fact they haven't won a BCS game in 5 years they still use that "We have 7 national championships" bullshite all the time. Arrogant backasswards stupid motherfrickers who need to lose big time through natural disaster or football or both. Whew, there I feel better now! Thanks for letting me vent

While living in Bossier I don't recall LSU fans belittling or downright trashing someone in another state because of a natural disaster or being better because of a football team.People love the Tigers but not to the extent that it becomes overly offensive everytime football comes up. They think everyone in Louisiana is trash or beneath them. If you don't believe me then take a drive up here and I'll put you up room and board and you can make the observation for yourself

Percy Harvin makes Florida's RBs and WRs the best in the nation.

I thought the correct answer would be NONE.

quick question:

how does KW getting 2 carries in the Nat. Champ. game have anything to do with how good he is?

maybe the coaches wanted to keep running hester.

kinda worked out didn't it?

SFP is banking on King's talent. UGA has had a lot of talented backs who have never lived up to it

even without king, moreno along is pretty solid

he had, what, 1300 yards last year?

people, the question was better than williams, murphy, scott and holliday.

the answer is none.

teams that have the potential to be as good:
USC (as much quality depth)
clemson (as good or better at the top, not as much depth)

even if you include king with moreno, uga still isn't as good as lsu.

even if you include white with devine, wvu doesn't have the depth lsu has.

if moody turns out to be a superstar, you might throw florida on the list as being as good as lsu.

well someone gets it...

I may be biased, but the depth at runningback is amazing...

what other team in the country has 5 quality running backs?

scott
williams
murphy
holliday
ridley

that's insane.

LSU's backfield is definitely good and has plenty of depth...but Williams has been a disappointment and still want to see more of C Scott and Murphy

How has Williams underachieved???????

He averages like 6 plus yards per carry! Yes, he has fumble a COUPLE times not a lot. He is just waiting his turn for carries. He will lead the team in yards this season with about 700 with Murphy and Scott with about 400-500 each. I love having fresh backs but we will never have another back make all american because of split time. Point being Keiland is a beast!

Most overrated Unit in the country... Williams, Scott will be backups come midseason.

The three main backs have done nothing to warrant even a second team all conference selection.

They do have the talent but have not done anything of significance to date.

that's inaccurate!

both are potential heisman candidates!

No no no, all the LSU fans here are missing the point. He asked who had the best backfield in the country, not the most depth. You can have 2 stud RB's and be the best backfield in the country. Who cares if you have 4 good rb's if they don't get the carries. Clemson has the best backfield in the country.

If you wanted everyone to say LSU, like you obviously did, then you should have said most depth, not BEST

I know, but I'd rather have 3-4 RBs who I know can get me a touchdown as oppose to one Freshman sensation. Danny Ware and Kregg Lumpkin had similar seasons where they came out of no where and tore it up. It wasn't to Moreno's extent, but you get the point. I'm just saying that if Moreno has a Justin Vincent like Sophomore season, then I wouldn't put too much stock into UGA's running game.

I'm a huge LSU fan, but what do we really know about our backs in a game environment for a complete season? Like I said before we will know a lot more after the first 3 games. I do know at FB, #45, Johnson ,can be all SEC and will have a good season. Like our offensive line. Everyone is saying how great we are. But looking back last year, against Miss State and Tulane in the first half we stank. Quicker D-lines, like Kentucky's ran around them and constantly got to Flynn. In fact some of our best plays occurred when Flynn ran for his life. I think we will dominate up front, but I have worries. Who knows how good are TB's will be?

since williams, murphy, scott, holliday and johnson have all played on the team for at least an entire season, i would say we have a really good idea what they can do.

But what we know... really know is not good. Holiday is a scat back, but not an every down back. And got injured. Murphy ran litte and showed ability only on the swing pass play. His outstanding spring game was against a second team defense that was horrible at outside contain. Scott got little opportunity, and Williams had difficulty in the short yardage play and inside running. Who knows about Ridley? I'm hopefull, but really don't know a lot.

if I could name the 5 deep depth chart at any position of any team other than LSU, much less give an accurate evaluation of the talent level, then I spend way to much time thinking of college football.

I really wish I could spend that much time

I am going to end all of these arguements for you guys because I know the answers.

USC is pretty widely accepted (by non-homers) as having the most depth at RB. It was the reason Moody went to UF, and some think Moody may be their best tailback.

As far as best accomplished backfield (which includes QB) it's pretty hard to argue against Clemson or UGA or even OSU. Those argueing against teams like UGA and UF because they only have the potential to be great backfields are ignoring the fact that LSU's backfield, though somewhat experienced, is relatively unproven as starters.

As far as best potential then you have to factor in USC and UF and OU in the mix. WVA is in there as well.

Hester was our best all-around back last year when you factor in versatility, talent, and experience. The coaches were wise to start him. So far, the other backs are all niche players but Scott has the best all around potential. Stop hating, racists.

None of them will win the Heisman because they will spread the stats around.

There. Cleared it up for you.
