You actually think Miles will put Mett into the NC game to "take snaps?"

Lets run some triple option out of the flex bone :).

Just imagine this:

Hilliard and Ware at the Full back position getting quick yards

Ford/Blue at the wing back spots for the pitch, with Magee able to spell. Maybe even mix in some Russell Shephard here as well.

We have already run hilliard at the traditional fullback position before, so we could huddle with these guys or similar packages, and come out in spread, Iform with 3 WR, or a variety of other formations besides the flexbone.

Start the first drive in this, run down score a touchdown, come out second drive in regular I form , total mindfrick :).

(for the record: I've been running triple option with LSU on NCAA12 since it came out, try it if you haven't)

Please make it stop. The triple option will not fool Bama with 4 weeks to prepare. MAKE IT STOP.

Throw the WR screen to TM7. I have a feeling that he can make some people miss.

Of course, JJ has to not throw it in the dirt.

The trick with Bama will be to keep them off balance. LSU's usual offensive game plan of using a wear them down with runs up the middle every down will not work.

One key issue LSU had in the first game was their insistence on running it up the middle consistently. I mean, Ware had 16 carries with 14 straight up the gut for only 29 yards. It was way too predictable and we aren't going to open up holes against Bama's defensive front when they know the play that is coming.

It will need a lot of mixing things up and using the pass to open up the run, IMO. Also, using Shep more will be critical. On turf, LSU needs to take advantage of their speed and get Shep to the outside on jet sweeps and some run/pass options off that play even with fakes to him and runs the other way.

Defensively, LSU has to shut down the TE routes and RB flares. They are more than 60% of Bama's offense. Also, they need to stay honest and give a little ground sometimes to protect against the big play (like the one on the Reid INT).

In the end, LSU has to be willing to open up their offense more. I just can't see our defense holding em back like in that game. That was an amazing performance, but I just think Bama will adjust too.

Some designed runs with JJ out of the I formation. Whether that means a delayed stretch play or him shooting a gap right off the snap, I don't care. I want them to have no idea what we do with the ball from the I. And I want to play a lot of I.

"Do. Not. Let. #9. Throw. The. Ball."

Because he can't.

Fixed.
