Last year 'Bama with back-to-back BCS titles and LSU getting beat on last second FG by Clemson. 'Bama dynasty and LSU freefall...

This year 'Bama with 2nd consecutive loss to end season including their 2 touchdown bowl game loss and LSU dominating (at least defensively) Iowa. 'Bama "rebuilding" for 2014 and LSU with #1 recruit (running back!) in nation coming to play for the Tigers! Can't wait for 2014!

The two programs are both replacing a lot of players and LSU still has a harder schedule IMO. What happens this year has no effect on next year either so that correlation is out of the window

Actually I was referring to the "feeling" after the bowl games of the respective fan bases. We were pretty down after 2nd straight season ended on bitter note and 'Bama was riding high w back-to-back BCS tiles. At least now we have a better feeling heading into off-season and 'Bama has chink in their armor ending the season with 2 straight losses.... Hope this clarifies intent.

I know exactly what you were saying. It makes perfect sense. You are right, there is (or at least SHOULD BE) a very different feeling today than a year ago today in most LSU fans minds.

I didn't feel different either year.... What Alabama does hasn't ever made me feel one way or another and when the games are all over, who really cares and gets worked up about it. Once spring practice hits it is a new season anyway

bama on that 2 game losing with some new unproven qb play coming in and they lose their greatest LB.

at least LSU has won 2 games with their new qb.

Bama "rebuilding" with about 3 straight #1 recruiting classes ready to take the field. Alabama will still have the 2014 #1 recruiting class.

LSU is going to lose all of the great offensive players from this season, and apparently any junior that can walk and chew bubble gum at the same time. But we are signing the #1 recruit, which is nice.

Dual QB system is looking like a possibility. I pray for separation from one of them.

I don't get this mindset...

If Alabama is "rebuilding" next year then what is LSU doing?

LSU may have to replace the QB, best RB, 2 starting receivers, 2 starting offensive lineman (or 3 if you add Williford), 2 starting LB's, a safety, 2 talented back up receivers.....

What feeling do you reckon our fans would have if we were the team that had lost 2 straight games at the close of a season where we were trying to win the national championship for the third straight time? I'm guessing that there would be a lot of doom and gloom from our beloved fans. Short of winning every game forever, there would be poormouthing. On second thought, even if we were to win every game forever, there would be poormouthing about whether we won decisively in all of those games.
