i hear ya, that's why i said selfishly. 2 saturday would be more convenient for me than an early friday game.

Why not 2 9 inning games on Saturday?
Thought the rule for 7 inning DH was only on Sundays.

It is and I re read the rules. Alot depends on the TV schedule as well as if it's a Thur-Sat or Fri-Sun series. I did a little research. For some reason I thought LSU went through a stretch where they played a ton of 7 inning double headers not on travel days but it was most likely non conference games.
DH on Saturday vs Kentucky in 2019. (Friday's game and Saturday's game) was 9 innings each.
DH on Saturday vs Texas A&M in 2019 (Saturday's game and Sunday's game moved up) was 9 innings each.
DH on Saturday vs South Carolina in 2021 (Friday's game and Saturday's game ) was 7 innings each. *Thur-Sat rule*
DH on Saturday vs Arkansas in 2021 (Saturday's game and Sunday's game moved up) was 9 innings each.

Saturday looks like it'll be the best which is why a part of me hopes they can move up the game on Friday if need be which would allow two 9 inning games on Saturday (TV schedule permitting) in case Sunday's weather starts to look rough.
The other option is they can't get the Friday game in and play two 9 inning games on Saturday. After that your dodging the weather Sunday no matter what.

I didn't go to the rule book but I know Florida and Alabama played a 9 inning double header this past Friday. So I just figured that it was a 9 inning DH unless it is on a Sunday.

As of now, I think DH Saturday and early start Sunday will be the best case. A lot can change though.

They need to see if Arky can get here on Thursday....Play a 11am first pitch on Friday and get done before the rain comes in Friday evening.....OR have a double dip on Saturday and move the start time up on Sunday to get in all three.
