With it being Louisiana, I expect that to completely flip again tomorrow morning where its 80% scattered thunderstorms all evening.

IMHO the weather forecasting since January has been the worst in history. The only times they have been right this summer is when they said "its going to be hot." just my opinion.

Afternoon storms in the summer are pretty unpredictable

ALL and I mean ALL the weather people in this town legit suck...Wednesday they had the LHSAA move Friday games to Thursday to miss the rain. It ended up raining Thursday and not raining Friday. They SUCK!

Weather especially here is unpredictable at best. This is the “my radar” app which is national. It looked a lot different this morning. Now it’s showing heavy rain from pretty much 12:30pm until after 8:00pm tomorrow.

I’m still going, come what may.

That's not what your app says at all. It says "half to an inch of precipitation possible". That's far from heavy rain.

Only between 1-4pm & even that’s down to about 50%

No lightning after 5 pm is the key for kickoff at 6:55 not being delayed.

I started receiving emails on Tuesday from my kids' school responding to "concerns" about the middle schoool/jr. high football games scheduled on Sunday. Seeing that made me think way back to my middle school football days. The first game of organized football I ever played was played in a driving rainstorm. The field was a sloppy mess and we were all soaked and covered in mud from head to toe. And we loved it! Hell, my dad made me sit in the bed of the truck on the ride home because I was so muddy.

That would be a double-stroke inducing event for today's parents. Playing football in a thunderstorm AND riding in the bed of a truck.

Did the same thing for a soccer tournament when I was about 12. Half the team rode back with a dad who had a camper topper b/c we were so wet and muddy. There was like 8 of us back there going down hwy 90. Real safe.

If it’s not lightning, you play. Great memories are made playing sports in the rain.
