that night lsu as a team played the worst game of the season

Bamas D had ALOT to do with that .....

while 2011 lsu and 2011 bama neck and neck but a slight advantage to bama because of a better qb.

And coaching...Just sayin.......

quote:

we all know bama wasn't even the best team in its own division.we know that because LSU WENT INTO BDS WITH THE SEC WEST TITLE ON THE LINE AND WON.

This is true... But WHY did the teams look so different on 1-9-12?????

quote:

this is such a bullshite statement.

Not really... LSU'S offense SUCKED on SOOOO many levels that night its just ridiculous...........

quote:

it was 12-0 with 22 seconds left in the 3rd quarter. it's was a 2 possession game with 1:30 left on the clock.

You really think LSU had a chance at that point??? Come on dude... You yourself have said that it was the most dominate defense in Bamas history... 12-0 that night seemed like 35-0 the way the game was going......

You can't possibly be stupid enough to say that 92 yards and Zero points is bullshite. This is a fact, no matter what cute way that you try to spin it. The offense was trash and all it took was slowing down the run game. Two games against Alabama and 6 total points were scored in regulation. Alabama proved that it was one of the top two teams in the country, as it embarrassed the number 1 team.

1. Won the SEC and SEC West
2. Beat the BCS national champs at their place
3. Went 13-1, whereas Bama went 12-1.
4. Beat the Pac-12 champs and Big East champs.
5. Beat everyone on our schedule

Better win percentage, won our conference, and had harder SOS.

All are valid points but 21-0 erases all of that. I would be on board with ya if we had put up a fight, but we didn't.

The rematch should have never happened. I blame Les Miles and his immediate invitation to play Alabama again.

Yes, it was an all time defense people lose sight of that in their anger.

Saban is the GOAT. I think the point Ricky was trying to make is for most of the game the LSU D played about the same as the Nov game. The offense was (obviously) worse. Part of that is Saban adjusted to the only think we did ok offensively against them in Nov, the option and running outside. They also blanketed Randle they weren’t gonna let him torch them like he did in 2010.

At 130 no, but the killer was in the 3rd I think it was 12-0, D Paterson was WIDE OPEN down the middle of the field but Jefferson never saw him and threw like a 20 yard out route to OBJ which was our longest play of the game. If they make that play maybe it changes a little but the combo of Miles tightness and general lack of adjustment was the killer

Ricky will NEVER understand this because it shows BAD FACTS about Miles.... I wish he could and just get over it.................

That’s why Lee or even Mett should’ve been put in. At least they’d throw the ball.

IDK. ive watched it and just cant be convinced it wasnt good.

Just watched it again. that was good. it passed through on the left side of the up right. Even the kicker is like wtf?

Maybe it was in. I never saw a view that showed it clearly one way or the other. Hard to say.

It’s not that JJ couldn’t throw, he threw that long pass to Randle in 2010. Lee was awful against Bama, putting him wouldn’t have made any difference and may have made it worse. At 12-0 it really wasn’t over. I can see an argument for Mettenberger maybe.

Sorry buddy but it was over at that point... The sad thing is . IS that the defense played well enough t win that game.... The offense was one of the most putrid efforts I have ever sen.. JJ was lost and confused and scared... He did have a few plays that he could have made IF he made the right choice, but it seemed like he knew nothing was gonna work no matter what they tried,,, AND WHEN he had a chance to make a key play he tried that stupid shovel pass instead of running to the right and could have gained prob 20 yards............

One coaching staff went to work, hungry to win, and game planned adjustments.

One coaching staff was worn out after the stress of a perfect season that was FULL of turmoil from preseason to postseason. That worn out feeling passed down to the team. And O believe Bobby H. said it (bc still to this day, not a single player will break locker room silence about that game), Bobby said the O didn't want to face Bama again and had pretty much given up b4 getting to NOLA. The D came to play their usual game and kept LSU in it to the end.

And why key players didn't get a snap in that game (T-Bob, Lee) will never be known.

are you kidding?
we had just beaten bama 2 years in a row with that offense.

at the time miles was 5-2 against bama and 3-2 against saban at bama.

remember this after 11/5

my god how wrong were we?

They beat every team on their schedule except the #1 team in the country who they still didn't give up a TD to.

Oklahoma St lost to an unranked nobody.

They didn't have the 2nd best resume?

Sure they did....it was easily as good as Oklahoma St's...it was actually better when you consider how horrible Iowa St was

So basically you're rewarding Bama because they had a "better loss" than Oklahoma State. OSU beat more ranked teams throughout the season. It was complete bullshite that Alabama got in over them based on how they lost compared to what they accomplished throughout the season. There's nothing that can be done about it now though.

yep.

it as the 1st time in cfb where who you lost to overshadowed such disparity in who you beat

If you thought that the offense was worth a shite on 11/5/11 or 1/9/12, then I apologize for poking fun at a mentally challenged individual. I will not cross that line again. I will support you by living in your fantasy world. Congrats on the National Title.

you said once we got down by 3 a miles offense was never going to beat bama.

a miles offense had just beat bama 2 times in a row. I'm sorry your too stupid to realize that. I'm not saying the offense was good but it as good enough to do what you said it couldnt.

try to keep up with your own stance.

lol. nah.

If 2011 didn't get you over "the hump" for CFB then nothing will.

CFB is a beauty pageant with predetermined winners.

LSU will always be one of the tier 2 girls. Definitely one the media would wife up, but would divorce in a second for something that looks better.
