I agree with tigerMike. Back in the 70's/80's there was a double header with LSU/State/Ole Piss/ Bama playing a day and night game with a fair rotation. That was fun. My new wife was from Tupelo and a State grad and me from La./LSU. It was fun,big crowds, tailgating, bands playing, motels fun of fans partying. It was a sellout. I really don't know why it stopped except students wanted a campus game at the Ms. schools. I believe more tickets were sold in the double headers, I know it was well attended. We went every year for years.
