What's frustrating is that unlike with Chavis who magically realized he didn't have enough linebackers...because he didn't sign any linebackers, this staff has brought in 2 4-5* pure nose tackles in Alexander and Shelvin. Alexander can't stay healthy and Shelvin apparently can't stop eating? Livingston was understood to be a project from a weight standpoint, but I get that the idea was that he wouldn't be needed for a couple years with Alexander and Shelvin ahead of him.
I agree Fehoko isn't a nose tackle. He gets more pressure than Lawrence who is another one who apparently can't stay at close to 100% in consecutive games.

I understand Livingston and Shelvin are overweight and out of shape; but then again, so was Terrance Cody!

Cody was 6'4, 350 lbs.

Shelvin is like 6'1", 350 lbs.

He's fatter than Cody and shorter so his wingspan isn't as disruptive.

Like the entire second half.

When we allowed 6 total points.

What a bad performance.

What's the deal with Shelvin?

After the Florida debacle, my take on Shelvin is that at least if he's in the game, the RB will have to go around him and that will cost the RB momentum.

bullshite, Ensminger dialed up two excellent pass plays in a row that were dropped. Add missed assignments on the Oline and missed tackles in the backfield. Coaches put the players in position to make plays, the play still has to be made by the players.

Not related to the nose tackle position, but I thought the worst individual play in the Florida game was Charles's holding penalty that negated Moreau's 26 yard first down reception in the 3Q that had the ball inside the Gators 40. That possession would have ended up in points and instead ended up in a punt.
