average, above average, or below average for college level baseball?

Being that we are in the top half of the SEC in most hitting categories I would say average to slightly above average.

Haven't you heard? This is LSU. We should have .300 hitters sitting on the bench.

The last National Championship LSU won only had one guy in the starting lineup that was below .300 - Micah Gibbs who was hitting .294.

I could be wrong but I believe the year UCLA knocked us out of the tournament and won the title they didn't have a single player batting over .300.
