We've always done it. I never understood why. It's only changed within the last 10 years or so. Not only can you hear the visiting fans, but they're very visible on television when the camera shows the south end of the stadium.

I go every time we are there since 05 and have never been in uppers. Those fans can only cheer if they have a chant.
