LSU pitched Skenes vs Tulane last season. Jump is starting vs Wofford

We had more weapons last season and could take that route with less risk. I think we need to save our aces and go for the Super instead of just trying to win two games.

Couldn't disagree more. I would've preferred to flip with DBU. LSU is set up to beat ANYONE in a 2/3 series. The regional is going to be much harder than any opponent in the Supers.

Um, no. Kentucky won a share of the SEC title this year. Wofford plays in the Southern Conference. There's a big difference.

Why do you guys think UNC is so bad they are a top 5 team in the nation that won’t be easy

Well they’ve been shoving in our face how superior the SEC is for the past month. Apparently the only reason we’ve struggled this year is because of how crazy dominant the sec is. They’ve said the SEC is in a league of its own. The only reason LSU is not considered one of the best teams in the country is because we are screwed over by the sec. Now y’all are scared of UNC and Dallas Baptist? Which one is it?

Not scared of anyone other than LSU’s depth of pitching. I’d put LSU against anyone in a 2/3 series at the moment. It’s the extra games that can be a problem for LSU.

That's the thing... you have to compare the depth of the pitching for those teams versus LSU to get a clear idea of our chances,

I know Skenes went Regional game 1 last year. But this year feels different clearly.

I’m in agreement with some earlier posters… I’d think really hard about saving Jump and Holman for our games 2 and 3.

I think I’d gamble that it gives us our best chance at making it past this regional. We’ll find out Friday what the decision is…

There is no easy or 'easier' path to Omaha, that talk is nonsense. If this team rides their momentum from the SEC tournament into regional play and Holman and Jump give us good innings then I can see them doing well in the regional. Still have to win 4 games.

We drew the highest ranked non sec team. Arguably the hardest path we could have gotten

Not saying 100% we get thru it but this bracket is best outcome we could ask for. If we win Chapel Hill then play Arizona regional winner prolly either Cats or Dallas Baptist.

The key will be saving herring. If we have to go to him in game 1, we won't get out of this regional. The only hope we have is to win game one easy enough to not use him out of the bullpen, saving him for UNC later on.

It’s doable, but I think SC might have gotten an “easier” path. Although I would prefer not to be paired up with an SEC team I think Georgia is beatable. I am not going to complain about missing all the top SEC teams though.

The Arizona regional is full of good teams. Nothing about either of our regionals looks easy. Just not impossible.
