We played extremely conservative. It’s going to be interesting to see if it continues.
First games are what they are. I really wish we’d stop scheduling ranked opponents as our opening games. Especially when you are breaking in new coordinators and position coaches to a team.
I really think we will get better as the year goes on. Even though we lost, I did see a lot of potential for us in that game. We just didn’t capitalize when we needed to and played very conservative.

uhhhh, Under Daniels LSU was 10-4 (.714) #16 & 9-3 (.750) #13
All Nuss has to do is go 10-3 and he tops both years.
FYI, the Heisman is an individual award. It wouldnt have had any 'value' for the 'team' to qualify for the 12-team playoff

He’s a great, traditional QB.
Based on what?

USC stacked the box all night cause we never threatened them vertically. We are giving USC’s defensive coordinator a lot of credit, but the truth is, we made his job easy.
Sad thing is, actually SC played 2 deep most of game after Lacy burned them a couple times, so not sure who they had left to crowd the LOS.
