INB4 its WBB who cares

Not been a fan of Nikki lately but team looks very good early. So we will see how this first month looks

Most evident part of today was the talent level of the freshman, they were by far the most dominating players on the court. The freshman look to be the most talented that Nikki has in years.

Three freshman stood out, Pointer, Cherry, and Patterson

All can score. Patterson hit 4-5 threes. I swear we had more threes today then we did all last season.

Patterson and Cherry are just scorer with excellent range

Pointer will play a lot, excellent point guard. Finally we have a true point guard for the first time in like 3 or 4 years.

Free throws were excellent 23-25

Mitchell looks dominant.

For the first time in forever, it really seems like Moncrief will not have to do it all.

Farley is a tall girl that will likely be added for just rebounding, has ways to develop offensively.

Area of concern was turnovers, extremely sloppy but its early so expected.

Also recruiting is a major disappointment for this 2018 class. We aren't even ranked in the top 50.

I really don't know why we can't recruit decent classes consistently. We will never be an elite team until we can do it consistently. 1 good class then 3 mediocre ones after won't cut it. You need consecutive years of it to be able to

*******Take it for what its worth but rumors around that I have heard is Alleva isn't happy with Nikki at the moment. Not sure how short the leash is. So don't be surprised if something happens is what I was told. If Nikki can't add a few surprises come NSD and we have another average season, she likely won't be retained IMO

Congrats to the LSU women's basketballers. I know the competition will get much tougher.

Nikki's job may be on the line.

I don't know how many scholarships we have to give. Raigyne is the only scheduled departure.

Do you happen to know if the first surprise is another year and another injury. I am referring to Faustine Aifuwa. Is she still out due to injury or did she leave the program? Did I miss the story 357? She didn't play today.

I completely agree. WBB team used to be elite and always making runs in the NCAA tourney with constant final four appearances.

Now the team lacks a lot of talent and recruiting isn't sufficient to be a top 25 team

She has had plenty of time. We have been through many coaches and players. She needs to be held to that standard.

People may joke about how WBB blows but it use to be a fun and exciting team to follow back when Pokey was the head coach. PMAC used to be always packed

I think Aifuwa has an injury now

Apparently there were some disciplinary actions this summer already. Its been dealt with. Lets pray there isn't any more. I've never seen so many disciplinary actions in my life.

It's either that or injuries and only 6 scholly players available. Almost a yearly excuse in one form or another. Aifuwa sat out last year after knee surgery.

Every year at least 5 to 7 players are suspended with at least one or two players bein kicked off the team..

That speaks volumes on the players we recruit and the control the staff has

Slow down...Jesus. Per the radio broadcast, Aifuwa sat out today because of the old "violation of team rules" bit. Nothing to see here. She can play Friday and isn't injured.

And their are no excuses being floated. Nikki seemed very excited in her interview that they have 12 healthy bodies ready to go.

So ease up on the falling sky routine. This team will be a Sweet 16 type by years end.

I thought I heard Nikki mention a post player was nicked up a couple weeks back

Its still way too early to even think they will be a sweet sixteen team.

Lets see how they perform vs decent competition. But this years team definitely has way more potential than last years.

The sky definitely isn't falling but recruiting still is a major concern as of now IMO

Losin moncrief will definitely be a major loss for this program next season.

The last class helped a little but we need consecutive years of that type of recruiting

I really thought Demoss would help with recruiting immediately.

Nikki can coach for sure but we will never be elite or a top 15 team without the athletes.

Extremely concerned with 2018 class, not even 1 top 100 recruit.

The top prospect who is a 5 star player out of NOLA is headed to Florida State and never even considered LSU.

The most concerning aspect is the top players in the state now do not consider LSU anymore and many of the hs coaches don't want anything to do with our staff. That to me that to me is a major red flag.

Its a shame too, because she walked into a pretty good situation. I am not mad at her, but seems being a mom has made her lazy on the trail. Like you said without athletes, you are wasting your time.
