Who do you think will replace him as a speed threat and on end-arounds, etc? Especially with Landry's status in question too

Yeah, RS10 was the only fast receiver on our roster.

I don't think RS10 will be a major loss. He really isn't a great wideout and we have plenty of other guys that are capable of running a jet sweep.

I disagree. It's not insurmountable by any means, but we have very little experience at WR and provided that.

He certainly wasn't last year, but reports were he'd made a lot of strides in his development. But I think we might miss just his presence on the field. Not only as a leader, but as a decoy and somebody the defense has to pay attention to at the very least. Again, we can overcome it, but it's a significant loss, and one that's going to force true freshman to step up big in their 1st games. Let's hope they do.

The 16 is realistic IF LSU cannot pass the ball. This will set up the run or not. Very likely CLM will open with a vanilla off tackle series and LSU will find itself in 3rd and long. This will make or break the team. If the Oline blocks well and Mr. Lee can pass effectively, then LSU should emerge victorious.

Look for UO to run some plays that are a real departure from its prior tendencies.

Desmond Howard says LSU has no playmakers other than RS so I think the OP is onto something here

The national media are idiots. 250 yards and 1 TD hardly quantifies a player as a playmaker...

I want LSU to win in my heart, but I have this feeling we are a bit overrated this season. OU 28 LSU 16 Only one Tiger TD tonite.

Dude, we are going to VaTech the Ducks. Maybe the score won't be quite as lopsided, but LSU is going to dominate tonight.
