Watching Gio bunt looks like a guy who is trying not to bunt

Every time he does it. In fact only a couple of guys on the team actually bunt the rest look like they are trying to not bunt.

A guy with no power and speed that can’t bunt. They bunted their best rbi guy and he got it down. That bunt contributed to them winning. But it should not have come to that. 2 hits against a team that has no pitching is pretty pathetic.

Did you watch the game? They had excellent pitching.

PM is the lousiest fundamentals collegiate baseball coach I can remember and has never seemed to operate with any consistent philosophy.

Yeah I watched the game. Just because their pitching looked good today doesn’t mean they are good pitchers. The numbers for the entire season say otherwise.

They had excellent pitching because they were playing LSU today. Their starting pitcher had 8 or 9 strikeouts throwing a curveball 2 feet off the plate and LSU kept swinging at it. They couldn't lay off it.

I have no idea why Gio waits until the pitch is thrown to square up for the bunt.

Excellent point. Our veteran comes out and completely surpasses anything he has done all season and we say great. Their guy pitched his game of the year and we blame our hitters.

Lsu has for years been known as a team that lacks basic fundamentals.Nothing seems to change. Change at the top is in order.

I coached 10 to 14 year olds for many years. If one of my kids gave that half assed effort I would yank him and have a meeting with him and his parents to see exactly what he wanted to do. Cause clearly it is not playing baseball with the best interests of the team at heart.

Gio is clueless at the plate. Guy is swinging in the wind. Amazing that he has a scholarship.

I agree from watching him today. But his average is in the 300’s. He was our best hitter last full season.

He must be having issues with the coaching staff this year. He looked lazy and checked out today. This isn’t the first time he has looked like that this year.

Goo is a glorified HS athlete. Sucks at LSU. Lazy swings and horrible bunter

So do Hilliard’s. But Hilliard pitched great today, and so did their guys.

Are you aware that their starting pitcher was considered a high draft pick entering the season? A probable first round pick?
