I was at that home game without John Williams. It was the "chicken pox game". I think Chris Carrier saw spot duty and that might have been the first game Brown put Blanton at center.

While the crowd was initially disappointed by the long shot to win it by UK, at least a portion of the crowd gave LSU a standing ovation as they left the floor. Dale gave a fist pump to the crowd. I like to think that game was the starting point for that great tournament run.

Ricky Blanton's double arm pump celebration after making a layup to put LSU up 4 late is one of the whitest moments in basketball history.

The LSU v UK game I really want is the 1980 SEC Tournament championship game where Scales played out of his mind. This was the last time LSU won the SEC tournament. I don't know if I've ever seen the full game (or I've forgotten it).
