This is LSU you don't DEVELOP players in 2025. If they are on the field they are ready.

That would be Cam Johnson. At least Schdmit can get people out

This is where a lot of people get confused. When they see a top 10 or top 25 caliber draft pick skipping the pros to come to college they think that kid should immediately start dominating in college from day 1 since you never see those guys come to college.

Google freshman pitchers at LSU and list all the ones dominating after less than two months. Alex Lange was an anomaly. Kid hasn’t even finished half a season and you’re calling him a bust. What a terrible take

And none of these people check up on the kids who do sign getting shelled in A ball

Genuinely curious.

And I'm genuinely serious, his velocity + his curve spin rate are elite. What's not 'there' yet is command. Give him time . . .

If Wes Johnson was still here he likely would be having more success. Guidry as a freshman was better with Johnson then regressed last year with Yeskie.

Georgia has one of the worst staffs in the conference. Try again

The issues we’re having now we also had with him. People had the same complaints constantly until the NCAAT

His numbers were better across the board last year

Well the freshman lefty at Texas was very highly touted just like Schmidt.
What's the difference? Texas lefty performed at the level expected, and our highly touted freshman didn't.
Hope he improves significantly because LSU will need him badly before this season is over. Just be as good as touted....nothing more.

LOL.

He's not even the worst one in the past 2 years. Regardless, he is a freshman. He'll figure it out with more experience and be just fine.

This.

It’s like our fans demand kids to piss excellence upon donning the LSU uniform.
