Washington in 09 was pretty loud

Though I've also been to Auburn, Bama, and Florida and found all three louder

U-Dub can get insanely loud. Not TS loud, but loud. Lived near campus in Wedgewood and caught a few games.

Autzen isn't even the same as Tiger Stadium. Only places I've seen that are similar are Bama and Florida.

Auburn and Florida.

Why does the endzone at Washington where they put the visitors have the seats starting 50 yards away?

We're in the middle of a $250M+ renovation. That's one of the things that will be fixed.

Husky Stadium can get quite loud; sadly, however, we haven't been near our peak for over a decade. As the video posted earlier shows, HS has ESPN's highest-ever decibel rating (although to reinforce my point, it came 20 years ago). Unfortunately, Seattle fans can be somewhat fairweather. If a team is good, though, people here will support it like crazy. The Seahawks have been good/decent for the past decade, and CenturyLink Field has been the loudest NFL stadium as a result (by far most false start penalties in the last decade, don't have any decibel readings though). If we start competing for championships again, I expect HS to be amongst the loudest in the country again. It's just not quite in that echelon anymore, though.
