Conversation should have been held in private. Not to the media. Made him self, LSU and Louisiana look bad.

he was wrong on the taxpayer liability
he was wrong on Woodward being responsible for jimbo's buyout

I do like the structured comp contract based on incentive. This contract would reward a coach for wins and not leave lsu with a ridiculous buyout. See Peter Burns example.

Honestly I don’t think so. Scott is involved with 3 of the top 10 largest coaching buyouts in NCAA history. He could have easily hired a non washed up Jimbo Fisher at A&M and a non washed up Brian Kelly for LSU. He could have easily hired Marcus Freeman or Elko, but he has shown that he doesn’t know what he is doing when it comes to football contracts and coaches. Landry is right for once, Scott can stay our AD, he’s amazing at fundraising and everything on the business side, but he shouldn’t have a voice for hiring a football coach.

Yes what he said actually has some good points and points I agree with when you take out the misinformation and jabs at the AD. However, Politics should not be in sports. Also, it is very hypocritical for anyone in Government to be giving opinions on finances when the Government is in debt and waste more taxpayers $ than any other institution. The Athletic Department at LSU generates a net profit the Government does not so keep the politics out of sports.

Not the time or place to try and fight that battle especially when he doesn't know crap about the process or the facts that come out of his mouth. He spoke for 2 minutes, mentioned Trump twice and was factually inaccurate on 3 things he used to justify his point. (buy out at aTm, same agent, taxpayers on the hook)

Does conflict of interest create some problems with contracts, yes. We all know that. Landry isn't the one to fix it and using a pulpit provided by the LSU coaching opening to grandstand on a subject matter that he won't spend anytime truly trying to fix with no disregard to how it will affect LSU is irresponsible and stupid.

ll. If you're a high profile coach in a no nonsense situation, you're looking at this and thinking "I want no part of that shitshow".

Eh. a high profile coach knows he’s blowing hot air and just grandstanding
