If you JUST love your contract (and Wade's is fully guaranteed absent a firing for "cause"), then you come in, do the bare minimum outside of coaching/recruiting, and collect your check.
Interesting how all the trolls are echoing the very same talking points. It's almost as though it's coordinated...

That’s retarded logic.
Agreed...its all retarded. Including some stupid statement prepared by a coach thats making MILLIONS per year. You really think he would say anything different than what he said?
WW is damaged goods at the moment. There is no where for him to go as long as these tapes arent clearly explained in a compliant way.
So of course hes all in with his LSU talk. His time to prove ut, if hes cleared and allowed back, will come.

Did you pay attention to the teams still playing last week.
Bruce Pearl - 3 year show cause, everyone said he was done.
Kelvin Sampson - 5 year show cause, everyone said he was done.
John Calipari - vacated 2 final four appearances at different schools.
WW is not damaged goods. There is no smoking gun. There is a really bad soundbite and that is about it. The player and his family have been interviewed, nothing came out of that. The handler was identified weeks ago by LSU and the NCAA, so he has either been interviewed or he is refusing to talk to LSU and the NCAA (neither of whom have any authority to make him talk to them), so doesn't look like there will be any smoking gun there. LSU and the NCAA don't have subouena power to get financial record, so no smoking gun there.
At the end of the day, the leaked transcript sounds bad, but the NCAA will have nothing more than that. That's not going to be enough to show cause Wade or even implement any major sanctions.
ETA: There seems to be more evidence against Johnny Jones than WW.

This thread is based of Tasmin Mitchell referencing a private conversation he had with Wade, not a prepared statement. Could he have told Taz the message he wanted to get out? Sure. Could Taz be saying things that make his friend/boss look good? Sure. However, there is no basis to say with any certainty that he is only doing this for the money. Just because a response is the expected or convenient response, doesn’t make it untrue.
