Exactly. Never liked trash talking. If you're secure with your skills, you don't need to talk. Talking is gonna make you a target at some point and you're not doing yourself any favors with the ref.

From my timeframe of playing and knowing. There is no technicals allowed unless your team is getting bullied, so you bully back. Otherwise, a coach can get one to change momentum due to 1 side officiating.

Wade is unconventional in a lot of ways when it comes to the college game. He reminds me of coach Brown in that way but if he continues to win at LSU I’m riding with him. Over the past 20+ years we’ve been bad and mostly boring so just be glad we’re relevant again.

To me, that's more insulting to your opponent - it's as if he isn't even worth your time to say anything.
Talking trash just shows you don't think your play is enough.
And any coach can stop his players' trash talk in an instant if he wants to.
