1988 Auburn game. I, like many of you, was in the student section. I got Tommy Hodson to sign my student ticket & am trying to get Eddie Fuller to do the same. While everyone remembers the 4th down pass, I was rewatching the game during Covid lockdown & there were 2 plays in the first half that don’t get a lot of attention. Each team had a pass that the quarterback threw & was blocked back by a defensive player then caught by the quarterback Similar to the Burrow play in the SEC champ game. It happens quite often, but for both teams to have it happen in one half, that may have really been the beginning of LSU/Auburn Bizzarrowland.

1998 at Notre Dame. N.D. 39 LSU 36. A game we absolutely should have won. ND was 8-1 & ranked #10. It was a rare November non conference game for LSU. We led 34-27 with about 10 min left & Tyler threw an int that was returned for a TD. But they missed the XP so we still led. Next drive we bothched the snap on FG attempt (cold and snowy) & barely got it down & kick went way wide. They drove down down & scored go ahead TD with about 1:30 left. 3rd string QB Craig Nall comes off the bench & nearly pulls off a miracle. Drives us to about their 35 & hits A Booty for what looks like the game winning TD but Booty drops the ball at the goal line. They try and run out the clock and on 4th down with 8 seconds left their QB hurts himself running out of the end zone to take a safety. Almost forgot- their defense gang tackles Kevin Faulk & causes a fumble which they return for a TD. On the kickoff Faulk runs it back 90 yards for a TD, shredding their kick off team. Wild and crazy game !!

Nope. It was freezing. I almost left the house in shorts and a tshirt. Decided to throw on sweat pants and a hoodie. Then grabbed an extra jacket and pants out of my uncles truck before we walked to the stadium. I was layered up but I was still freezing. We were up in the nose bleeds for the entire game. Still the coldest I’ve been in my entire life.

I remember the '84 Arizona game in TS. LSU was able to keep the Wildcats out of Zendejas' field goal range and sealed the victory. LSU won 27-26.
