Unlike years past, this team has seemed to get hot at the right time--mid to late season. Interested to see how this pans out.

Last year their last 4 SEC series were against eventual top 8 national seeds, plus a game vs Oklahoma in the SEC Tournament. I said it then and still believe that they were mentally and physically spent by the time the regional rolled around.
This year the schedule worked in their favor and I feel like we are seeing the difference this year.

Wow. Texas Tech comes back in the bottom of the 7th down 8 - 0 with TWO OUTS and have tied the game with a grand slam.

Ole Miss goes up by 1 in the 8th off of Canady, yet the first two batters in the bottom of the 8th get on for TT. Unbelievable game.
Texas Tech comes back to win it 10 - 9 . Can't believe Ole Miss coach didn't change pitchers in the bottom of the 7th.
Hopefully, Ole Miss can come back to beat them twice tomorrow. Can't stand Texas Tech with their million dollar players.

Akron is beating VT in the 6th - 6 - 1. This is great news for LSU. I'd rather face Akron - having to beat us twice tomorrow - than VT.

They only had 1 good pitcher. They got 14 good innings out of her today. The 15th was too much to ask.
So yeah, VA Tech might have a little momentum tomorrow, but they have not had a great weekend hitting so far, save for an inning just now against a pitcher who ran out of gas.

Why was the Virginia tech runner not out on force play at second? Did the coach challenge the wrong thing?
