JM is only getting us so far. Long term it has to be either MB or LN. We're not winning big with JM, even though he has come a long way.

Alabama has made it pretty far with some less than ideal QBs on the strength of their defense

If our defense can play at a high enough level we don't necessarily need elite QB play

Ultimately, I think they’re trying. JM just appears to be better.

I’ve been all over the place on this.

I was most high on Brennan, but I’ve come back to just hoping somehow LN can get it going. He’s just such a dynamic runner and I think we need as much creativity as possible. I don’t think we have the type of team that simply a game manager can even get away with. I’m concerned about our running game for the first time in a while.. and he could definitely help out the run game in multiple ways. It’s just an opinion though.

If Brennan or JM can be accurate and LSU actually throw the ball all over the field, not just long bombs as usual.. then I support the idea of them as well.

TL/DR version
Lowell if nothing else changes much
MB/JM if we actually start throwing short routes that get our QBs in a rhythm and they can complete it.

McMillan looked so much better running the offense.

The fricking mantra of LSU football.

if we are going to go with the same old strategy of "ride the defense, we don't need a good qb"....then why did we fire les miles? some of yall seem to still want miles ball

This! Did anyone watch the Alabama spring game? They going to be strong of Def but average on Off. There top QB didn't play and Hurst looks the same.

Let’s be honest. If MB or LN haven’t overtaken him already, it’s a good bet that we aren’t winning with them either.

Based solely off what we got to see in a Spring "game" JM seemed to be the most comfortable. I don't why this is such a huge surprise, he is the upper class man. There is still a long way to go and there is nothing wrong with competition.

At this point, I would name JM the starter and tell the other 2 if you want it, come get it. Just my opinion.

Haven't we been saying this for years? And where has that gotten us? A bunch of loses to Bama.

I agree as of right now.

The cool thing is JM may be a tweener of the two others and if he’s the most comfortable then so be it. He might be elusive and could provide some misdirection running.

I’d love to see a comfortable QB.

I posted last week regarding the QB's that we have competing. Someone who I know attended the previous scrimmage and noticed that the play of our QBs was not good. We have a juco guy coming in for fall practice. That's what I've been told

Win the job or gtfo.
