Yeah, we were 2-8 going into the game and beat #17 Arkansas 35-10. Pretty glorious game. That was actually a year that we lost a lot of close games.. 22-23 against Georgia, 16-17 against Mississippi St., 17-23 Against Alabama Imagine if Les had the team at 2-8 one year

So, when a shitty LSU beats a ranked team its "glorious" but when a "shitty" team who BTW lost a lot of close games beats a ranked LSU team it is somehow impossible to comprehend? Just trying to follow the logic train from our fan base.

Arkansas had an astounding 95 yds rushing and 264 total yards. I wouldn't say that ran it down lsu's throat.

We'll be fine - this isn't a big deal. That was a beartrap that we walked into with all the "no SEC wins" dynamic, the weather, the late start, etc.

We outplayed Ole Miss and Alabama and should have won both. It was impossible to follow up that Bama game with the situation we found in Fayetteville.

The truth is that losing to Arkansas at home in the freezing weather after a totally deflating loss is not the major issue. Getting shut out and showing absolutely no life on offense is a much bigger problem.

This is a bigger issue. We won one of those two games, but we could have lost both even though we had outstanding defensive efforts. Look at how easily we could be a 4 or 5 win team right now (we're not, but if the ball bounces the other way...). Florida dropped that pass in the end zone with almost no time left, Wisconsin was probably a healthy Gordon away from beating us and we beat Ole Miss with an unbelievable defensive performance even though we had four turnovers (and even that basically came down to the last play).

Our best passing game of the year as far as yards goes was in game 1 against Wisconsin with 239 yards and I don't think any other game is within 50 yards or that. And that was on 9 completions. That is a bad sign. The offense is supposed to progress, not regress.

The running game has progressed (minus the Arkansas game) from the beginning of the season, but just imagine what our offense could be if we had a decent passing game. We are beating our guys up with the style of offense we're running right now because the D knows what's up. We need almost perfect execution to win games with how our offense is right now.

And where did most of that passing yardage originate? Was it AJ or BH? And if it was BH, other than his being put in a position to fail versus Auburn, when has he had a meaningful chance to demonstrate whatever progress he might be capable of as QB for LSU since the Wisky game?
