Yeah, Choctaw missed the whole point in my post this morning. Its one thing to be happy, but not completely satisfied. To this, he said that I was batshit crazy for (never)saying that I expected a national championship every year.

Although I didn't say that, what I did say is no one should be satisfied with anything less. You can be happy till the cows come home, but what will satisfy me is to win a national championship every year.

I'm not ungrateful.. just disappointed. Two years in a row we had hopes to win a championship and two years in a row we've fallen short. How can you not be disappointed?

You want your team to be the best. I am perfectly aware that no one can win all the time, but is it so wrong to feel that our team is good enough to? You're only given a good hand every once in a while. And we're blowing those good hands.

Well put. CLM has his work cut out for him. Cannot afford sliding even more next year or it may be church.

You are wasting your time trying to talk normal to them. They will never get it. It's an unnatural infatuation with a personality that drives them.

Most of us love LSU, want the best and are disappointed when they fall short, but it doesn't necessarily mean we hate the coach or team. They see everything in extremes.

The ones that are ridiculed do hate the coach and also see everything in extremes. You do recognize they exist, right?

But in your rants over today it seems like the coach you want is nick saban.

BINGO! if saban had gone to michigan or kansas state things would be much different with our fan base. these guys compare miles to TODAY'S SABAN. saban is a much better coach NOW than he was at LSU. miles would be lynched if he lost to UAB in tiger stadium, lost to iowa or lost 3 or 4 games just about every year; which is what saban did at LSU. yes, he won one NC here and that had not happened since '58. but what made him god was him going to bama. we compete with them every year and they sucked before he got there. this will never go away because people forget about sabans losses and begin to think of him as he is today and imagine him still being here. i've said it before, if i was miles i'd get the hell out of here. but fortuneatly, MOST LSU fans, the mature ones, the administration and the money guys know miles is a damn great football coach and he's good for LSU. he graduates his players, runs a clean program and genually loves his players and LSU. some of our fans do not deserve him. they will continue to downgrade miles and wish for the hot coach of the day. of course miles has faults and deserves some critisism but the FACT IS MILES IS HELD TO A HIGHER STANDARD THAN NICK SABAN WAS AT LSU.

I imagine they are an extremely small part of the fan base. If it's such a small group, not sure why people like the OP get so bent out of shape about them.

Miles will be here for many years. He isn't going anywhere, nothing to worry about.

I agree 100%. I do not understand the indulgence given CLM by the posters other than they have the old losing mentality that used to permeate LSU football. If CLM cannot beat 'Bama, he is of no use to the program. Let him coach ND or Oregon.

he just beat Bama last year at their house in the game of the century, but guess that didn't count. One of the few coaches that beat him consecutive seasons, but over your head

Hey man most of these folks love the tigers. What they don't love is watching poor coaching cost games where we were clearly the better team. The offense needs to change and you can bet Miles' stubborn arse won't budge until LSU loses 4 or 5 games in a season. Finishing 4th in the leauge is not good enough for most posters.

I hear the same shite every year, but hang in there, buddy. If you keep saying it maybe LSU will start losing 4/5 games every year, we'll fire Les, and then you can finally be happy.

The spoiled children that represent the whiners are just pissed off deep down that Saban is winning championships at Alabama instead of LSU. They neglect to appreciate the program we have under Miles. Any LSU fan with more than a 15 year career of following LSU football shouldn't be saying a word. We have it great and have had it great for going on 13 years now with next year looking bright. The reality is that Saban is the best coach in college football today. Not the best man or best leader but best coach. It isn't debateable. He used to coach LSU and now he coaches Bama and is winning multiple championships. The whiners need to accept reality and quit letting what Saban is doing deflect from them enjoying what we have at LSU right now.

Ain't that the truth. Half the people in Boulder and the outlying communities don't realize or care that CU has a football team.

OP....well said...for those of us who use facts and not opinions, we know the truth and appreciate Les, Saban, Dinardo, the players,TAF, Alums, students, band etc. who all worked VERY hard to create what we now have...a GREAT PROGRAM....
