How on Earth did you ever manage to get so much stupid into one post?

You know, I used to think you were better than this as a poster. No more.

I do. I don't see any sense in ruining this season for him unless something else is brought to light.

You really need a time out and a reality check. My god that is some serious delusion in one short sentence.

So, I guess you want him suspended for this whole year so that he can be our starting quarterback as a redshirt senior. I'm okay with that.
I hope for JJ's sake, that it doesn't take the whole year and he can get on with his life. I readily admit, and have being saying all along, that this incident just doesn't seem to fit with the character and personality that JJ has shown over the past couple of years. He seemed too laid back for this sort of thing. But that being said, I think he should be suspended until the issues get resolved. If he is found not guilty and Les Miles wants him back next year, as a redshirt senior, then I wouldn't have a problem with that at all.

You're surprising me. I thought your whole even-handed shtick was an act. Live and learn.

Not sure what would have caused you to think that. It's been my contention all along that even if convicted, a season long suspension is too much.

Not really. His weekly entertainment will take more time than his legal preparation on his part. There is no need to suspend JJ all season for this unless it can be proved he tried to kill the guy ,and has a boat load of hidden character issues no one seems to know about.
Wrong! He can schedule his weekly entertainment around practice time. He won't necessarily be able to do the same with his legal preparation. If the DA says lets meet at 3 pm, I don't think he will care much if that is during a scheduled practice or film session or what have you.

I meant in general. Even on the poli-board.
(Self ban for bringing the poliboard into this.)

As I said, maybe Miles believes his presence with the cloud of uncertainty that will hover over him until this is resolved has a greater chance of ruining the season for the other 100 players. That to me is reason enough to keep him away for now.

At this point, I don't care if he plays another snap. I don't want to see the guy get railroaded for something so minor. I agree that actions have consequences, but even if he were 100% guilty, the consequences in the form of suspensions and backlash far outweigh the severity of the act.
JJ isn't a monster. He's a young man that made a mistake. We all make them, we are human.
I was never a JJ fan until this.
He may not deserve to play football anymore, but he damn sure doesn't deserve to be demonized as some here are doing.

I have been through a similar situation as JJ's in the legal system. It;s nowhere near as time consuming for the accused as you believe.

So you are wanting to suspend the guy for a whole season based on the slight chance it could tie up a film session? Doesn't make sense. We throw away peoples lives and careers for this kind of stuff and it's a waste. Society can do better. Miles has made the right decisions to this point and I have faith unless something really earth shattering comes out he will put JJ back in action soon.

If Johns were LSU's QB and accused of kicking someone in the face/head, there will be an equal reaction. Somewhere deep inside, I would like to think Choctaw is more intelligent than this, but I do have my doubts.
he has been accused of kicking that dude. I didn't know the position he played had anything to do with it. I thought this all about justice

I want this to be the last year of Jordan Jefferson at LSU. Good or bad, this program needs to move on.
We have young QB's that need developing, I don't see how keeping JJ another year will benefit this team one little bit.
That being said, if he isn't guilty he should be reinstated back on the team ASAP.

aren't you one of the legal types around here? what's Unglesby's strategy with this request for the suspension being lifted? (besides the obvious of actually getting him reinstated). seems likely that Les/ LSU would say no, and the publicity of it all would appear to be another distraction to the team.

Of course the position and his playing time have something to do with it. How seriously will John's suspension affect LSU? Do you think we would be talking about JJ if he were a backup linebacker?
