Do you really expect a coach not to make an argument for the team he is coaching? If LSU were in the situation, you would make the EXACT argument Bama did. If LSU were in Ohio States situation, you would make that EXACT argument as well.

So basically Wisconsin got penalized for having to play in a conf champ game.
They lost by 6.
Alabama didn't win it's division much less it's conf , got a week off and moved up In the poll without even playing.
It's bullshite and total Bama bias.
I don't see how anyone not wearing crimson glasses can't see this.
It's an opinion of who you think is better.
Opinion. Not merit. Eye test.
Best two wins came against 2 teams with 7 combined losses.
Yet the "look" better.

now I do agree we need to go to an 8-team playoff, but that wouldn't make the regular season a "tune up." Teams would still need to either win their conference or have a stellar regular season to have a chance of getting in.
Now, if we go to a 12 or 16 team playoff, then I'd agree with you that the regular season would get diluted. But 8 teams? Come on, the regular season would be as important and dramatic as ever.

yep. They should have stayed put and said no thanks we will take our playoff bid instead! Auburn COULD have done the same but IF whiskey played and lost (which they did) i am not sure it woulda bumped AU into the 4 spot from the 6 spot. These CCG are shite and useless now unless they expand to P5 autobids.
