Dudy Noble is the toughest stadium to play at in the country and we had a very young team go in there. We’re back home now against Florida. This time next week we could be looking at a series victory against Florida and feel better

You never know with these kinds of things.

Did they get run-ruled though?

I don’t give a shite about the run rule. If we lose by 1 or 10 it’s the same loss

We got double run ruled in game 2 of the finals last year and won the whole thing.

Couldn’t have happened to a better fanbase. They’ve been crowing about being undefeated and most of them believe they’re winning the natty this season.

Stats prove otherwise. They are no better than LSU at the plate.

It’s not the fact we lost the series. It’s the way in which we lost. All off season we have been told the offense will take time but the pitching will be a strength and will carry us until the offense gets going. We were led to expect a lot of low scoring affairs. Not giving up over 30 runs our first SEC weekend. Granted we looked good against Texas but you can’t blame fans for being skeptical after our first real series of competition was borderline embarrassing.

What I’m hoping is that MSU ends up being one of the best offenses in the country this year and we just so happened to play our worst 3 games of the year sec opening weekend.

We lost the series to MSU last year and they hit us just as hard.

I gotcha, but A&M was #1 in staff ERA and UF crushed them this weekend

I think the defending national champ will give every team a bit of extra effort each week.

So far we got punched in the mouth and didn’t respond. Let’s hope the bars pick it up but having to get 10 runs every game in sec play ain’t gonna cut it.

Our Saturday starter is wet behind the ears. Holman is in his first year at LSU

Holman pitched 2 years at Bama. He’s a vet. So is Hurd.

Yeah they lost to the #8 team in the country. LSU lost to an unranked bottom of the SEC team.

Are we young though?

Senior+ - Travinski
Senior+ - Milazzo
Senior - Bingham
Junior - White
Junior - Brasswell
Junior - Pearson
Soph. - Jones
Soph. - Neal
Soph. - Kling
Fresh. - Milam
Fresh. - Larson

Of our 11 position starters this weekend, 6 are upperclassmen. The 3 sophomores are starters from last year. Of the freshmen, Larson on DH'd. The three starting pitchers were two juniors and a redshirt sophomore.

I think the team can get it together, but let's not make excuses.
