Not bad for a guy that half the idiots on this board were upset with when he announced he was coming back for the 2023 season.

Yeah, I remember.
I am a huge Daniel's fan and have him on my fantasy team, but this is an overused sound bite. Was he even close to the same player in 22 that he became in 23? Where else was he going to go after the 2022 season? He had little chance of being drafted after 22. He improved an incredible amount between those 2 seasons. You remember that?
Your narrative about Daniels in 2022 is bullshite.

Do you think an intelligent fan should have been upset when Daniels announced he was coming back for the 2023 season?

Your post suggests you do. If true, you're a moron.

JD5 in 2022
QB Rating: 144.5 (#6 in SEC)
Comp%: 68.6% (#2 in SEC)
17 TDs to 3 Ints
885 Yards rushing (#9 in SEC, not just among QBs but among all positions)

If you were looking forward to Burrow in 2019, how could you not be looking forward to Daniels in 2023 since Burrow's 2018 numbers were not nearly as good as Daniels' 2022 numbers?

I bet Carolina wishes they would have used Andy Dalton for a year and picked up Daniels instead of throwing the bank at Young.

I'd love to see this, but they would have fricked that up too and drafted Caleb Williams. We could have had CJ Stroud and they drafted Bust Young instead. What makes you think they would have drafted the right person this year?

The kid probably puts in more work than any quarterback since Brady. He has all the athletic gifts in the world, but chooses to rely on his mental gifts more than his athletic gifts. He came back to LSU to improve his pocket awareness, and worked his arse of to do so. He went into Commanders training camp to work on adjusting to the professional game and build rapport with his offense, and it shows on the field how successful he was at that. Look at all the new Quarterbacks and how out of synch they seem to be with their team, not just rookies but veterans also. Jayden is different mentally than the others. His drive to constantly improve himself is Tom Brady and Drew Brees level.

It's like the LF vs Derek Henry thing. LF had arguably more talent, but Henry works his arse off each post season to improve his areas of weakness. Hard to not pull for a guy who is humble and works to improve himself.

That is what teams should be looking for, someone who possesses the needed physical talent and has the drive to be great. Hint: NOT Bryce Young, he has neither.

They were going off on how good he really is on NFL sirius on Monday, saying he is ridiculously calm in control let’s game come to him and getting better weekly. Said he is no fluke but real deal, best rookie QB is many years. And that guy from USC isn’t in his league right now
