UCLA has really good Oline and r-backs, Hawaii is really bad and LSU needs to tackle well

So who wins in a matchup of McNeese vs Hawaii? One thing is very clear, UCLA's backs and QB can all run the ball and will represent a stiff test for LSU's Dline, linebackers, and safety.

Before anyone tells me how great LSU will be at stopping UCLA, do you remember an Ole Miss QB in 2019 that gave LSU's defense hell? I also recall a Miss St QB that LSU's great Dline (Leonard Marshall played for the N.Y.Giants) simply could not stop!

LSU is very talented defensively but our linebackers remain unproven. If LSU can't stop UCLA, defensively can't maintain gap protection, can Max keep up? If LSU goes two or three possessions without a score, how ballsy is Coach O, would he turn to a freshman QB in LSU's first game of the year?

THERE IS AN IN-GAME THREAD.

Your hot take is not interesting nor is it original. See the other 350 threads on the same topic.

For someone that starts as many threads as you, you'd think you would get better at making them. They all suck though.

Max can keep up unless we’re giving up record yards and points again.

Lol what??? You want to give up on max if we go 2 possessions without a score?

You know cause Texas in 2019 we didn’t score a TD until halfway into the 2nd Q? Would you have given up on Joe?

Max has proven himself. Our Oline and linebackers have not snd they will decide the game

If our Oline is confused on these exotic blitzes and our LBers don’t play sound in their gaps and make tackles then we can easily lose this game.

This is why you make changes and pay all this money though.

Which one of you idiots said UCLA would have trouble scoring against Hawaii? UCLA with its strong running game will run out clock and play keep-away from LSU's offense, Max needs to make the best of his opportunities. Chip Kelly is looking for his signature win vs LSU, and he might get it.

I don't think you are in any position to call anybody an idiot. Surely you aren't suggesting I said UCLA would have trouble scoring against Hawaii, right?

Then we should prepare for another long season, and Orgeron's seat should get immediately hot.

LSU would rebound from this loss, would love to have had a rent a win before this one. UCLA looks ready for their season.

So you think UCLA's coach should rely more on his inaccurate QB instead of his strong running game? You're obviously the bigger idiot!

this post is all over the place. It’s like a kid with ADD who keeps distracting himself when he’s trying to talk

The point is, for as long as I can remember, LSU has had games every season where LSU had trouble stopping the run. I don't believe LSU will have trouble stopping the pass vs UCLA's QB, but they have a very solid ground game, we will see if our linebackers are really as good as their star ratings.

Almost an impossible assumption/judgment to make based off a LB star rating. Again, post less. You’re awful.

Exactly Ahole! So we don't know how well our new starters at linebacker will perform. One good thing about defending against a really good UCLA ground game so early in the season, LSU has plenty of talent at linebacker and will learn in this game which grouping works best.

Yeah UCLA had a great day running the ball.. OLine was very good today.. So I'm very interested in how they are going to defend them... I'm always going to root for us...

And you could tell all of this by watching their oline and rbs vs a super shitty hawaii team? Lol. LSU should have no problem with UCLA.

LSU should have had no problem with Troy either. This isn’t Troy.

If it starts to even look like UCLA is getting a ground game going; then Jones will just stack the F out of the box and let our first round corners lock down on an island and we will be just fine. Their WR were garbage; if they had a Qb that could even throw an accurate pass to them; they’d still drop it probably…. So LSU will be fine, don’t know why you have even a sliver of worry…

Different team, different year, completely useless to even think to compare the 2 games
