No, for using his picture in a fricking LSU jersey to promote their shitty music. Even going as far as to give him VIP status and promote that the entire football team will be at concerts

If the NCAA even considers this a violation, it will be a minor one and won't have any affect on his eligibility.

this. His picture was on a flier for a nightclub. BFD.

Without his permission and he's not even on the team at this time.

This is a serious reach, even for SINationalEquirer

dont you think the ncaa already knew about this?

the article contradicts itself saying he may not play at lsu again but could play d1 elsewhere....so how is he going to do that if hes ineligible?

CLM needs to drop the hammer on this shite. This could bring other players down just being around TM7.

pump the brakes brew, if there was an issue i promise the players would be off the team or suspended until the ncaa investigates

I hate to see Freak Johnson's name involved in this story. hope they were just using his name without his permission.

Sounds like all the party and club shite happened well before he got suspended. In fact the article even states Mathieu doesn't go out anymore.

Still don't know if he gave them consent to use his picture

I could make advertisements for a club saying the Lsu basketball team will be there, but it doesn't make it true and it doesn't mean I got permission to use their pictures to promote it.

This.

And the fact that they have their own personal tailor.

I still think he goes third round in the draft, so this is a probable non-issue.

Potential NCAA violations for promoting a BR. Nightclub and getting VIP access.
from the story it's not clear he even got benefits.. it reads like his friends used his image, possibly without his permission.

Honestly, I've known about this for a while. I just never knew a club using your face for a party was a violation.

The party was more for the guys in his circle than it was for him. They used him to draw a crowd

That indeed happened and if its a violation then I don't think he'll play next year
