This is spot on. I watched him make plays from the defensive side every damn game like no one else. No offense to Burrow but the Honey Badger is the baddest pure football player in college I have ever seen. I was lucky to watch such greatness on the team I love. I will always appreciate his time as a Tiger.

I feel sorry for the people that didn’t get to watch St. Aug play West Monroe in Tad Gormley Tyrann’s senior year. In a game that had NFL talent on both sides, he was far and away the best player on the field at about 5-6 different positions, and he is easily the best high school player I’ve been privileged enough to see play.

Tyrann is about to get to REALLY enjoy life. He is set up for a great future! I guess I’m curious how soon all his kids will be beasts.

Serious question.

Why does it seem every year that there are vets around the league who retire just as camp starts up? Kind of a crappy thing to do to the organization, it seems. Is it something about the contracts that they make more money if they wait until then? Do they just not realize that they aren’t up to it until it’s time to suit up? What’s the story?

The man changed the way the game was played. Many great players have passed through the NFL and college ball, but damn few have altered the way the game is viewed and played like TM. I am so glad my sons and I were able to enjoy his playing years. May God shine his light and grace upon you Tyrann, and may he keep you and your family healthy so that you can enjoy your feminine years together! Forever LSU!

Tyrann has been my love letter to LSU fo decades

As a fan

To watch a new orleans kid make waves as 14...as he did. It was special

They guy was immediate impact guy as a freshman

To don 7 then up his game also incredible

Honey Badger unleashed

Im sad to hear the news of his retirement

But Tyrann Mathieu is a MAN, he left it all on the field, and is the joy that is what fans are left with.

The guy deserves nothing but first class treatment. The Saints should be honored to have Him amongst their ranks.

God bless Tyrann ans all he did. Love that purple and gold beautiful bastard

Still the best defensive player I’ve ever seen play at the college level.

If not the best, definitely the most impactful.

Special talent
