Don't give me best team bs.
They didn't earn it - plain & simple.
Ask yourself 1 question
Does LSU get the reamtch if we lose the 1st one?

...I'm wit' how do we know OSU isn't as good ... they can say , "Hey, LSU and 'Bama didn't have to play us, did they ? " The so-called "eyeball test" is totally bogus.... BCSMNC game is a 1 game shot after 6 weeks off ... anybody could win ...

By no standard did they play a "much better schedule" than Bama. But I'd argue it was easier for the simple fact that they didn't have to play LSU.

No, they had the exact same record. There's an arugment for Okie State without the lies, guys.

I agree that they said Alabama would be in the NC way too early. But MANY people on TD thought the exact same thing. Once OSU beat the shite out of OU and VT lost they said it would be VERY close. People said the same thing here. This might sound ridiculous but I think the opposite occurred regarding what people think ESPN did. So many LSU fans on here claimed it was impossible for Alabama to get in that people bought into it. I know I did. Wikitiger had me scared to death. They were really wrong. ESPN really wasn't.

2. The two 'best' teams already played, how do we know OSU et.al. aren't the best.

I am kind of in this camp.

I think LSU should only play a conference champion (conference champions have to win a tournament to be considered #1 in their conference). Also just picking two teams from one division just ignores everyone else in the country based off of subjective analysis.

Also the fact that the outlines of the BCS was known before the season is a dumb argument. OSU was ranked second by TE most objective part of the system (the computers).

Regardless LSU is going to beat the gumps again.

If you think Bama deserves the rematch just bc they look like the better team, then I guess you also must still believe Michigan deserved a rematch in 2006.

And if we are going to go by "eyeball test" then maybe lsu ought to relinquish it's 2007 NC since we got into that game based on our whole season of work. Most folks thought Georgia or USC "looked" better. But the season has meaning.

At least it did until this year, when Bama got in on the strength of their glorious loss.

The BEST team is playing in the title game. As for the second best team, its debateable, to include Bama in the statment of the two best teams does not sit well with me. They have rode our coattail all the way to the title game. The debate is over who should be playing LSU. Another conference champion is more deserving.
