I don't think he was safe, but what the hell do I know..... I'm not a baseball fan. Like most, I'm only watching because it is the championship

Of course it was dumb because he got called out. If he were safe then would you have still made this thread calling it dumb?

It was the right call. That throw was excellent. Great slide but ball beat em & that's usually doom with umpires

Ump was not in a position to even make that call.

Anyway they could have reviewed to the home plate ump?

We never had another base runner...the ball was played in front of the center fielder and the play was at second...closest bag to the fielder. It was a good slide, but a poor decision. No reason to go there. I'm ok with an aggressive read and round of first, but he should have stayed. That's evident by how much the ball beat him by. Honestly, that was enough for the umpire to punch him out in afraid.
