Treating the Symptom

Many Tiger fans on this board and in actual daily life can't seem to shake O's buyout from their minds. Even WWL did a report on it - that Tiger fans say he should be fired; and how Christian LaCoutre came to O's defense. Tiger fans have even started GoFundMe accounts to accrue the money necessary for O's buyout.
This is both ludicrous and laughable. Does anyone realize that anyone who willingly says they would pitch in $100 or more for a Orgeron buyout is trying to solve incompetence by throwing more money at the problem? shite, we are already paying a buyout for Miles, and we wonder...why had we committed to Miles all the way until 2019 with a blank check given the program was clearly in decline when we re-upped his contract?
The way to cure incompetence is not to throw massive amounts of money at the problem like is suggested in many threads on this site. The problem is not Orgeron - it's the one who gave him the massive contract: Joe Alleva, and F King for intervening for not firing Miles at the end of 2015 like what should have happened. Firing Ed Orgeron without at the very least also getting rid of Joe Alleva will accomplish exactly nothing. People who want to pony up money for O's buyout are classic "TREAT THE SYMPTOM, NOT THE PROBLEM" people. If you want to get to the root of the problem, go for Alleva and perhaps F King. The purple and gold flower will be back in full bloom and splendor if these two are gone. If we fire Orgeron, these two roots who made him will still be underground, and we will do this same song and dance all over again when we have another careless and incompetent coaching search.
Because of the lack of courage exhibited here, the LSU football program has been set back a decade. The way to get the program back on track is not to hire a new coach. It's to pay the 1.5mil buyout for Alleva, which is a much better option since we are throwing much less money toward the actual solution. It starts at the top.

Absolutely NOBODY on this site is advocating keeping Alleva.
Most say he must go FIRST. Many say O should go with him. I’m one of those.
Others say Alleva this year, O next.

Or how about getting rid of all 3?

I'd give you a hundred up votes if I could.
I have serious doubts that O can fix things, but it's pointless to remove O while this guy is still hanging around to choose O's would-be replacement.

For real, can we start a fricking petition to remove this asshat Alleva or something? I mean, I'm far from the majority of LSU fans and I could still round up a few hundy signatures from my buddies who are other teams fans but still know exactly how bad Alleva is. There were three separate Oklahoma fans who approached me at my job just today, asking, "so when is LSU going to fire their AD? That guy is a joke".

That was very long.
So here’s a heads up JA and O were fired Saturday night. Due to Finacial concerns the dates on the termination letters have not been firmed up but will happen. Joe will go first.
F King is up in the air as to if they move him out or he stays. He should go with the other two.

So you think we should get rid of Joe?

What a strawman argument this is.
No one is arguing to keep Alleva and in no circumstance would a O firing not also include a Alleva firing

Your position makes little sense. Firing Alleva alone leaves an incompetent O at the helm of LSU football. Put another way, firing Alleva alone won't do anything to immediately improve the product on the field. Firing Orgeron would.

Well we can’t afford to fire O we are stuck with him for a time.
We can afford to fire Joe and soon, plus the new AD needs to have time on the job to get the lay of the land before you ask him to hire a new HC.

bullshite. Many of us hated Alleva too. Plenty of people warned about firing Les and letting Alleva be the search. Excuses came rolling, but he hired torina, he expanded the stadium. He will hire a search firm like other ADs would. Wrong, the dude is a snake and had no business being the AD of LSU from the beginning. Yet people knighted for him.
Joe being outsmarted by George Bass is one thing, but he and the rest of the sucks were taken to the woodshed by the Rosy Finch Boyz.
