Our AG talked about the NIL contracts that companies expect players to play this season and if they cannot play in the SEC that would be a loss of funds for players and companies. That’s a ton of money and lawsuits for the SEC to dish out if they sue them.

Additionally, these bylaws that were created were created prior to NIL and need rebuilding.

LSU also has bonds invested in this and if they get voted out for not breaking laws, then we would be owed monetary compensation too.

You’re not just punishing LSU, you’re punishing student athletes.

I would love to see them take on all those arguments in court over this.

If they actually try to vote LSU out the conference then this will be the end of the SEC as we know it. LSU will sue, Lane Kiffin will sue, athletes will sue, investors like Gordon and Graves will sue. At trial they’ll bring to light other sec teams like ole Miss tried recruiting Wright out the NFL. It’ll point out all these other schools who signed players that participated in some sort of nfl mini camps. They will talk about how 4 or 5 other SEC schools left roster spots open in case something changes. There will be too much money, controversy, and other teams brought into it all and the conference will implode.

IF, and it’s a huge if (i think the sec is crying in their oatmeal over sankeys complete embarrassment), they do expel LSU, they will have so many lawsuits on their hands…
Students, the school, probably ESPN would all be in there.
With my very limited knowledge and experience, I’m calling Sankey’s bluff and letting them vote.

So the TRO they are trying to get tomorrow is to allow the SEC to block LSU and it’s associates to block them from a vote Thursday.

No one from LSU has attempted to block them yet lol. Court is at 1PM.
