I never saw JL checking off his receivers, I am not saying it didnt happen but I never saw him do it. You knew what receiver or DB he was throwing to, JJ on the other hand I did see him looking down field and checking off other receivers. JJ gives you another element of the run also I didnt see lee do that and also when JJ did take the ball for some odd reason he knew where the first down marker was. With coaching they will both mature in to good QBs.

Our *%#!ing defense put him in bad spots all year. So who knows how he would have been if our offense wasn't playing from behind every damn game. Thanks Les for our outstanding defense this year
He put our *%#!ing defense in bad spots all year too

JJ's long TD pass in the arky game was the only time all year i saw an LSU QB look off a safety

Now - yes.
If you had said that before the Arkansas game I might have agreed with you. If you had said it before Ole Miss I definitely would have agreed. But the fact of the matter is that JJ demonstrated he KICKS arse in the Arky game. Too bad our D fricked us.
OMG, dude JJ was NOT that fricking good in the Arkansas game!!!
frick frick frick!!!!!
All you MF's need to get JJ's d!ck out of your mouth for a minute!!

I think people are just enamored with JJ because he didn't throw any pick 6's. While he's shown potential to be very good, he is not yet ready to be an elite SEC quarterback.

I'm not bashing J.L., he was thrust into a situation for which he was not ready. But have some credibility and tell us why you guys think J.L. is more promising than J.J., or else what's the point or posting other than to shout out to other buddies.

that thinks JL is better than JJ.....it seems like im a loner
I don't know that either one needs to be called "better" than the other.
They are both young and undeveloped QBs, each with a lot of talent, with those talents lying in different directions.
I think that Jarrett Lee faced to fires of hell this season, and because of that, I am pulling for him to take that experience and do some growing up and develope his ability to make reads and check offs...
I also think that Jordan is very exciting and hope to see him light up the offense when he's had time to process the playbook get the advantage of some age to him.
So while right now, I am leaning towards wanting Lee as, at least, the intial starter next year, it shouldn't make you feel any less lonely, beccause Mr. Momma is quite anti-Lee, and he cancels out my "vote"!

I think JJ may have the better arm but JL is the better passer. I also think JL is the better leader and is smarter! I'm not saying JJ can't be better one day, but RIGHT NOW the ONLY thing JJ can do better is run!
Have a great day!!

When JL went out for the game against Ole Miss I knew the game was basically over because i just couldnt see JJ coming back. Nothing against JJ but I think JL is a better QB

I still can't believe we had fans cheering(and it wasnt cheers for JJ either) when JL went down. Makes me sick to my stomach.

Only one thing to say about Jarrett Lee and it is one of the most fundamental things in football.....step into your thows, he throws flat-footed 90% of the time.

100% agree. I feel that JL put the defense in a bind more than the defense put him in a bind. Although, I understand he is still young, he is not smart. Doesn't check off, throws into coverage, makes very bad decisions. Also, From what I saw from JJ in only 2 games, I would have loved to seen him more throughout this season. He is very versatile, very attentative and know when to throw the ball away or tuck it and run it. If only he would have gotten as much protection from the offensive line, he would have had better stats. Also, all those posters that say, but "JJ only played against Ole Miss and Arkansas," get off of it. Keep in mind, that your boy JL played a horrible Tulane defense and still screwed that up. I know you are not going to start to compare Tulane against the worst SEC defense. It's still an SEC opponent that would have demolished Tulane. So, we will see come bowl time. Take the leash off JJ and just let him play. Afterwards, I want to see some more of you posters that think otherwise back on this board after we prevail over GT or whoever we play.

I'd like to see you back here after the bowl game. I'm not saying that JJ is a magician or anything. However, these posters are pointing out that he played against mediocre defenses. So, with that being said, he will have a chance to prove himself because we are going to be playing someone with a better defense that those 2 games he played during the season. Win or lose, JJ will do his thing.
